Planning your next vacation and considering a cruise? Instead of booking your trip on a huge cruise ship to the typical destination hotspots like the Caribbean, take the road less travelled and venture somewhere a huge cruise ship can't reach. Travelling by river cruise allows you to experience not only your specific destination, but also the culture and landscape of the river. You'll pass villages or towns, local people and wildlife as you float along. Instead of coming home with the same picture just about everyone has of standing on the ship with the ocean and sunset in the background, come home with one of Vietnam's Mekong River or the Nile as your backdrop. These river cruises are sure to spark your sense of adventure and spontaneity.
